Incidence of benefit receipt in Germany (in thousands). The figures are based on the 5 per cent sample of the SIG and were extrapolated to the total population of UB II recipients capable of working. Long-term benefit receipt is defined as receiving UB II for at least 24 months within the last 30 months and benefit payments on the reporting date. Official figures refer to December of the respective year
